A DVD Player for the car for those of you who already have DVD playing laptops

I thought this was very creative, interesting or something like that. Your Laptop is portable and plays DVDs so why buy what you may already own...right?

Any takers?

http://www.pdfonline.com/

PDF Online allows you to convert documents, pics, etc into PDF and HTML formats. It is web-based so you can do this from anywhere!

"PDF Online lets you submit documents from your web browser. PDF Online then processes your document and, within minutes, generates and emails you an accurate PDF or HTML (complete with JPEG files) representation of your document."

There is a maximum upload file size of 2MB.

PDF Online handle a variety of source document format:
PDF (Portable Document Format),
RTF (Rich Text Format),
TXT (Simple Text Format),
DOC (Microsoft Word® Format),
XLS (Microsoft Excel® Format)

PDF Online lets you submit as many files as you like, as long as the size of each file doesn't exceed 2MB. And its free!!!

I have used this several times....I really like it. Only problem is that sometimes things do not come out exactly as they are sent. It does not try to duplicate all fonts. So that complicates things somewhat.

give it a try...http://www.pdfonline.com/

Picasa

At first I thought Picasa was completely unnecessary (not that it is entirely necessary, I mean, life will move on without it). I have now decided it it a great way to keep up with where all my photos are and I can be aware of any duplication of files (for those of you that are space conscious). I am also fond of the collaging capabilities (quick and simple). Picasa also edits photos with ease (red-eye; special effects like b/w, sephia, etc; cropping, and more!). Picasa also has many other features I like as well.

For what it is worth: I would recommend it.

I have a favorite ice cream!!!
I have always enjoyed ice cream when served and I normally will eat some when I had the craving but I am now officially sold on a new kind of ice cream!

I normally love strawberries and strawberry cheesecake is top of my dessert list! However, one of my favorite parts of the ice cream is not the strawberries or the delicious cheesecake flavor. My favorite part is the graham cracker crust! Oh it is soooooo good.

Gimp

Once upon a time I owned and used Photoshop. I used it so often that once I was without it I became very tempted to splurge and buy it. I held out and I am very glad I did. I am still a great advocate of Photoshop but now it has just become to expensive....I now have The Gimp.

Gimp is a freeware program like Photoshop. It took some time to get acclimated with but now I consider it to be well worth its money...LOL. I use Gimp for everything I used Photoshop for and I am very satisfied and occasionally impressed. I recommend it as a very good Photoshop substitute!

Check it out for yourself!!!! http://www.gimp.org/

Warning: It will takes some practice but so did Photoshop when I first learned it.

Compaq Ipaq

I own an HP iPAQ 4155 Pocket PC and I really love it. My favorite part is probably not you would guess....the recording capabilities!!!!

I think this is my fav because the other things I love about it were expected (sync-ing with your Outlook on your 'puter, Secure Digital Slot, user-friendliness, Jawbreaker, sleak design, compactness, having your files in the palm of your hand, etc).

I bought this to help me with my crazy life as an RD while I was in nursing school. I was able to keep up with my classes, meetings, notes, etc and all in one place.

Now get this, I could record my classes onto my pocketPC and store on a SD card until I had time to burn directly to CD (yes I said directly...no conversions, backflips nessecary). I could play my notes back on my way to and from class, the grocery store, etc.

Now that I am no longer in school I still use it as my calendar and note taker and more. I find new uses for it every day.

The less-than-5-oz. HP iPAQ h4155 Pocket PC offers optimized performance that will keep you productive, both while you're on the move and when you've reached your destinations. Integrated WLAN 802.11b, Bluetooth and a Secure Digital (SDIO) slot round out this model's powerful features.
